“I’m NOT stinking rich!!”
Harpagon, the Miser, is wealthy with delusions of poverty whilst his servants and children scrimp, borrow and scheme for money and love. Moliere’s hilarious farce, set in the roaring twenties, gallops through unexpected twists and turns, featuring thwarted lovers, a dancing policeman, the Duchess of Lower Normandy and Brittainy Wittainy and a million francs buried at the bottom of the garden.
This lively adaptation, presented by an energetic ensemble, and complete with the Charleston and high jinks, is guaranteed to bring a smile and enrich a May evening.
