Catalyst 2024 - Cork Arts Theatre

CATALYST

Cork Arts Theatre and The Everyman are delighted to announce the recipients of the Catalyst Award 2024.

The first production features Amber Deasy’s new play, ‘The Dream Can’t Wait’, with actors Imogen Deasy and Jack O’Shaughnessy, while the second will feature Mollie Savage & Ben Holman in their production of Sarah Ruhl’s ‘Eurydice’. The participants will be presenting their work at CAT in September.

This new collaboration between Cork Arts Theatre and The Everyman, supported by Cork City Council Arts Office, aims to provide a platform for the work of early career theatre artists in the city, and an opportunity for them to develop their practice in a professional context.

For Catalyst 2024, we are also delighted to be partnering with Briery Gap.

THIS OPPORTUNITY OFFERS ARTISTS:

  • A stipend of €2,000 towards production costs / artists fees
  • Full and cost free access to Cork Arts Theatre from a Monday – Saturday for get in, tech and up to 4 performances.
  • Creative & technical support from CAT’s Technical Manager.
  • Dramaturgical and producing advice from The Everyman, CAT and Briery Gap personnel.
  • 100% box office revenue from their performances at CAT.
  • An opportunity to present their work at Macroom’s brand new venue, Briery Gap.
