Tuesday 3rd – November @ 7:30pm
A Playback Theatre Performance
Stories of Leaving
Family, school, bad vibes, cities, prejudice, jobs, faith, furniture, individualism: What have you had to leave behind?
In Playback Theatre, you share stories that we “play back” with our ensemble of actors and musicians. In this performance, we’re exploring our stories of leaving. This is theatre improvisation like you have never seen before. We weave our stories together – not knowing where we will end up, except possibly with a better sense of what it means to be human on this fragile, beautiful planet.
What people have said about our shows:
“The performers had an amazing ability to understand the core emotions of the stories shared and express that in their performance with artistic sensitivity.”
“It was a true sense of community and opportunity to be seen and to see others’ stories.”
“Every time I leave feeling uplifted, connected and not alone.”
We hope you’ll come (because everyone has a story).
The show is by Speak Out: Theatre for Transformation.
With support from a Cork City Council Arts grant and Irish Aid. In collaboration with Creativity and Change, MTU, and Cork City Partnership.
