George is happily married, Doris is happily married – but not to each other.

She is on her annual Retreat, George is a successful accountant on his way to a client. One fateful Spring night they happen to meet in the same Travel Lodge and the chemistry is too much to resist. They fall madly in love. Unwilling to cause disruption to their happy home lives and unknown to their respective spouses they agree to meet for one weekend at the same time, in the same place, every year for more than 25 years.
 
Two of Cork’s finest actors, Rachel Sarah Murphy and Michael Murphy are perfectly paired in this delightful comedy. We chart their unconventional love affair which begins in 1951 and continues through to 1975.  Same Time Next year is a funny, emotional and engaging comedy; a perfect choice of theatre for the month of Valentine!
