Storytime presents

Patient:Soldier

Written by Barra Fitzgibbon and Katherine White
Directed by Daniel Clarkson
Performed by Katherine White

Black Death, Spanish Flu, Cholera, the Grim Reaper’s greatest hits.
Now it’s 2020, and there’s a new plague in town.

Dr Reaper takes the stage in this darkly funny, but always true story of an Irishman’s fight for life and love. At its core, the belief that words, connection, and sheer will can tip the scales between survival and surrender. A love letter to the health service, this is a warts-and-all journey through an overwhelmed hospital at breaking point, part battlefield, part comedy club, part confessional. Both hilarious and heartbreaking, PATIENT:SOLDIER exposes the chaos, courage, and absurd humanity at the frontline of a system pushed to its limits.

“Quotation”
“A fantastic show. Emotional with such honest and direct impact,
cleverly written and performed. A real insight into Barra’s experience but even more than that,
capturing a moment in time that was strange for everyone.”
– Rosemary Richards, Director of Bloomsbury Festival, London.
