Craic! The Improv Irish Play
From the legends behind the Improv Panto, The Improv Murder Mystery and Getaway Outta That comes a brand-new theatrical riot, Craic! The Improv Irish Play.
This is every classic Irish play you’ve ever seen and yet nothing you have ever witnessed before!
We’re taking the sharp tongues of the tenements and the high-stakes feuds of the rural West and setting them on fire. Each night, the audience hand-pick the players from an arsenal of Irish stereotypes you’ve all seen before. From the pining Widow to the sharp-tongued Barkeep, the begrudging Priest, to the mysterious Stranger, you decide who faces the music. Will there be a blood-feud over a boundary ditch, a secret pregnancy, or a civil war in the snug!?
Featuring all your favourite improvisers: Laura O Mahony, Dominic MacHale, Laura Harte, John McCarthy and Declan Wolfe, with musician Dylan Howe conjuring haunting pipes and foot-stomping jigs on the fly.
Expect craic, razor-sharp wit, wild Irish dancing, and a total lack of restraint. No script. No safety net. Prepare for Cork Arts Theatre’s most riotous, and unhinged summer highlight of the season!
