SUMMARY:The Four-Faced Liar
DESCRIPTION:Tuesday 28th July – Saturday 1st August at 8.00pm\nTheatre Makers Ltd. presents\nThe Four-Faced Liar\nby Ger FitzGibbon\nDirected by Ger FitzGibbon and Ensemble\nAfter a sold out run earlier this year\, Theatre Makers return with Ger FitzGibbon’s The Four-Faced Liar. \nThe Four-Faced Liar brings its audience on a night journey through the landscape of Cork city and its inhabitants. Moving freely through time and space\, the play involves over sixty characters in all – as richly varied in their language as in their situations.  But the core of the piece is the city itself\, with the diverse music of its sounds and voices old and new\, and the variety of life to be found within it. \nTheatre Makers Ltd has brought together a brilliant ensemble cast of actors to bring to life over sixty characters: Gussy Barret\, former Lord Mayor\, now fallen on hard times; Patsy Dunne\, whose home is a Zanussi freezer box; Micha\, the Polish cashier in a builder’s supply shop; Bertie Murphy\, the shy carpenter who loves Micha from afar; Afric McGlinchy\, who is fifteen and knows everything; or Emer Foley\, 98\, who sleeps under her bed for fear of intruders and wages single-handed war on the government.  Through the sounds of the city and its people\, their ghosts and their dreams\, their triumphs and disappointments we hear the heartbeat of the place itself and the pulse of the river that runs through it. \nCAST:  Maxine Acton\, Trish Burke\, Jack Healy\, Michael Ryan\, Niamh Santry \nProducer:  Jack Healy\nDesign: Ger FitzGibbon & Jack Healy \nLighting Design:  Ger FitzGibbon & Jack Healy\nSound:  Performance ensemble \nRunning Time: 85 minutes\nAge recommendation: 16+\nTrigger warnings: Some strong language \nTickets: €18*\n*plus booking fee
