Audiences will also get to vote for their favourite play of the evening which adds to the sense of occasion. \nThis event\, established in 2010\, has grown from its humble beginnings to become one of the most popular shows in our annual programme. As in previous years\, we are sure that the final ten plays selected from hundreds of entries will prove to be wonderful examples of what can be achieved on stage in a short space of time with a well-crafted script. \nThe event is an important fund-raiser for the Cork Arts Theatre and it wouldn’t be possible without everyone – actors\, directors and crew – giving of their time so generously. As Ana fears losing her love to the Church\, Elena grapples with the realisation of the persecution inflicted on the poor of El Salvador by the military junta\, and Rita is ordered by her husband to cut all contact with supporters of Archbishop Romero.
