DESCRIPTION:Tuesday 27th May – Saturday 31st May @ 8pm\nViews from a Couch\nTen brand-new\, ten minute plays will have their world premieres at the Cork Arts Theatre from Tuesday 27th May to Saturday 31st May as part of our ‘Views from a Couch’ event. \nEstablished in 2015\, the annual ‘Views from…’ series was conceived in order to encourage new writing for the stage and to bring those characters and stories to life in the intimate setting of the Cork Arts Theatre. It is also an important fundraiser for our little theatre. \nWith a different theme each year\, the event sees hundreds of entries from authors all over the world. Some of the best acting and directing talent that Cork has to offer then set to work to create a wonderful evening of theatre that has proved immensely popular with audiences over the years. \nThis year a humble couch is the setting for the plays. But where is the couch situated? What part does it play in the stories that unfold? What characters will visit this setting? We do hope you’ll come along to find out. \nThe 10 plays that have been selected from this year’s submissions are as follows: \nACT I \n\nS/Wiped Out by Joanne Geary\nChameleon by Raegan Payne\nDeath and the Couch Potato by Susan Knight\nThe Preliminary Visit by Eithne Horgan\nMi Casa by Darren Hall\n\nACT II \n\nTomorrow by Scott Mullen\nDiagnoses by Alan McCormick\nPassion Therapy by Rachel Feeny-Williams\nTimesavers by Barry Wood\nTwofer by Alan O’Regan\n\nThis event is usually very well attended so we advise early booking to avoid disappointment. \nAge Recommendation: 14+ \nTickets: €16\n*Booking fees apply.
