Ever since he first saw her, Frederick Clegg has been obsessed with Miranda Grey. The repressed, introverted butterfly collector admires the beautiful, privileged art student from afar until he wins the Lottery and buys a remote country house, planning to bring her there as his "guest". Having abducted and imprisoned her in the cellar he soon finds the reality is far from his fantasy and their tense, claustrophobic relationship leads to a devastating climax.

Established in 1976 as a club by and for the arts community in Cork, the fondly named "CAT Club" quickly became a landmark, serving not only as a venue for amateur and professional companies alike, but also as the preferred meeting place and socialising hub for all arts enthusiasts.
The Cork Arts Theatre is YOUR theatre. Drop in anytime, come and enjoy the many and varied productions we have to offer or perhaps become a member of the Cork Arts Theatre Club and take advantage of the many benefits it offers to Cork theatre-goers.
